This series of tests measures foundational and soft skills and offers specialized assessments to target institutional needs. Career & Technology Department pre-selects qualifying 12th grade students based on academic history by November each year.

W-Apt - As needed
The WIDA-Access Placement Test (W-APT) is a screener test utilized to initially identify a newly enrolling student's initial language proficiency. This test is required upon entry into CMS for any student identified as a potential ESL student.
Access - February - March 2020
The Assessing Comprehensive and Communication in English State-to-State for English Language Learners (ACCESS for ELLs) assessment is administered in the spring of every year to monitor language proficiency and growth. Every student identified as ELL must complete the three tier progression to show proficiency and graduate the program.
